I had a computer center in Stepanakert from 2003 to 2005. Now I have participated in the trainings of Business planning and have theoretical and practical skills to start a new business.
Description of Business Idea
My business idea is to open souvenir shop where will be souvenirs of Shushi and Artsakh. The shop also will suggest different gifts.
Market Analysis and market share
By statistical information in 2009 came more than 6,000 outside tourists and 4,000 inside tourists in Shushi. Our researches show that only 25% of tourists buy the souvenirs from Shushi. A tourist spends no more than 5,000 drams to buy souvenir. Annually on buying souvenirs can be spent 5 million drams in Shushi.
For buying gifts the customers annually spend 9 million drams in Shushi.
My share in souvenirs market will be 30% or annually 2 million drams and in gift market 25% or 2,3 million drams.
Competition Analysis
My business has 2 groups of competitors: one for the souvenirs market, other for gifts market.
In souvenirs market I have only one competitor. Its work more than 5 years. It is located in front of the church of Ghazanchecoc. It is its main advantage. My advantages in this market will be the choice of the souvenirs, the low price and the area of the shop.
In the present markets my competitors are retail shops in Shushi and souvenirs and gift shops in Stepanakert.
